Team Trick Tank heads to Kentucky for round five of Toyota AMA Arenacross series |
Team Trick Tank riders Jake Gilbertson, Justin Hopson, Josh Harris and Jim Chester are all really looking forward to this weekend's Toyota AMA Arenacross at the Eastern Kentucky Exposition Center in Pikeville and for good reasons. The "Four Js" as they're called, have been on a tear as of late and with momentum on their side they're looking to score big and gain valuable points in the Eastern region points battles that determine which riders get invited to the prestigious U.S. Open in Las Vegas in October. All of the team's riders are in pretty good shape in the points standings for their individual classes and good finishes this weekend will go a long way towards their quest to qualify for Vegas. With only one more points paying event after Pikeville (Greensboro, N.C. the following weekend) the team knows they must perform to the best of their abilities and they've all been practicing every free moment to prepare for back-to-back races. "This going to be a busy couple of weeks for the guys," team owner Bob Gilbertson said. "With back-to-back races they've all got to be in top physical shape and Jim has been working with them to build their endurance and I'm confident that barring any un-foreseen circumstances they'll make some noise in Pikeville." For more information on Team Trick Tank go to: www.jakegilbertson.com |
