Team Trick Tank heads to Baltimore for round number three of Toyota Arenacross series
Team Trick Tank Riders Jake Gilbertson, Jim Chester, Josh Harris and Justin Hopson or the "Four Js" as they're called, will be heading out to Baltimore for this weekend's Toyota Arenacross at the 1st. Mariner Arena. This event is the third in a series of six Eastern regional races to determine the riders who will qualify for the U.S. Open of Arenacross in Las Vegas in October. The team is coming off of a very successful weekend of racing in their home town of Charlotte, N.C. where they dominated the event with all four riders claiming wins and podium finishes. "Last weekend was a big confidence builder for everyone on the team," team owner Bob Gilbertson said. "Hopefully the momentum will carry over this weekend and we'll come out of Baltimore with some victories and the points lead. Currently team coach/mentor Jim Chester is undefeated in three classes. Over 25, Over 30 and Over 35 with two wins under his belt in each class and leads the points in all three divisions. Josh Harris also leads the points chase in two classes, AX Lites and AX Intermediate and is second in the College Boy class. Teammate Justin Hopson, who had to miss the Rochester, N.Y. event due to having a cast on his left wrist, still managed to hold onto the third spot in the College Boy class. Jake Gilbertson is currently seventh in the 85cc class and sixth in Super Mini and is charged up about moving up in the points standings this weekend.
