Team Trick Tank heads to Virginia with winning on their minds
Team Trick Tank riders Jake Gilbertson, Justin Hopson, Josh Harris and Jim Chester, or the "Four Js" as they're called, will be racing in Hampton, Virginia this weekend at the fourth of six races in the Eastern region of the Live Nation Toyota Arenacross and all of them are looking for victories in their respective classes. Jake Gilbertson will be racing with a heavy heart as one of his best friends, James Herbert, was killed in a tragic traffic accident last weekend and he wants to win in his memory. Gilbertson will be competing in at least two classes, 85cc and Super mini, and might enter a few more to get him valuable track time to help him on his quest to win a trophy for the Herbert family. "James loved to go riding with me and I'm going to miss him," Gilbertson said. "I'm going to go all out to win for him and hopefully I'll be able to give the first place trophy to his dad." Hopson, who just turned pro this year, has had a tough season this year and had to sit out a few races due to a wrist injury but he's back in shape and is hoping to regain his championship form. Harris has been on a tear lately and is the odds-on favorite to score in the 250cc and 450cc Lites classes. Last but not least is the team's coach/mentor Jim "The Wrecker" Chester who after three races under his belt is un-defeated in three classes, Over 25, Over 30 and Over 35 and he's looking to keep that streak alive in Virginia. Team owner Bob Gilbertson is optimistically confident in the team's chances this weekend. "Everybody on the team has been working real hard the past few weeks preparing for this race," Gilbertson said. "They've been practicing just about every day and working on their stamina and I'm sure they'll all do well and hopefully come away with podium finishes."
